  • DESCRIPTION

Created in 1986, the Prince of Asturias Trophy has become, over the years, the most important regatta of the Monte Real Yacht Club. Every September, for three days, the elite of the national and international fleet meets in Baiona to enjoy a whole sailing festival, in which the competition is combined with numerous leisure activities.

Along with the traditional sporting events, in which everyone has a place (regatta sailboats, cruisers, monotypes, classics…), the Prince of Asturias Trophy also includes breakfasts, meetings, talks, conferences, tastings, award ceremonies, fireworks, parties… It is, in short, a very attractive meeting for sailors from all over the world to enjoy together the passion they share: sailing.

This year will again include, as always, the delivery of the Terras Gauda National Awards, on the night of Saturday, September 1.

And in the water will be, once again, the girls of the HELLO! Ladies Cup.

The 33rd Prince of Asturias Trophy will be held, in 2018, on August 31 and September 1 and 2, in the waters of the Bay of Baiona and the Vigo estuary. It is organized, as has been a tradition since its origins, by the Monte Real Yacht Club and the Naval Regatta Commission of the Naval Military School of Marín, in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and the Galician Sailing Federation. Within the framework of the competition, the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will be presented at a special gala that will take place on Saturday, September 1.
