The J80 will be in charge of opening the sports calendar with the J80 Class Winter League that the club has been organizing for years exclusively for these monotypes with a great presence in Galicia. It will be played in six days during the first months of the year, starting on January 26 and ending on April 6.

The next appointment on the Monte Real calendar, the first for the cruisers, will be the Comunica Trophy , scheduled for April 20, coinciding with Easter. The regatta will be held in a single day and will once again have the collaboration of the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, from where the test will depart for Baiona.

The historic Repsol Trophy , one of the longest-running sailing trophies in Galicia, will celebrate its forty-second edition this year, once again coinciding with the May 1 long weekend. The traditional spring regatta of Monte Real will be held on May 1, 4 and 5 and it will have room for all types of sailboats.

In May the little ones will also meet in Baiona, to compete in the Baitra Children’s Sailing Trophy , scheduled for the 25th and 26th. Monte Real thus maintains its firm commitment to basic sailing, which it promotes through its Sailing School and the organization of specific championships for sailors who are just starting out in this sport.

The Galician Solitaire and A Dos Championship , which for the fifth consecutive year is called the Rafael Olmedo Memorial in memory of the historic president of Monte Real who died in 2015, will be in charge of opening the month of June. It will be held on day 1 with a route of about 30 miles for crews reduced to the maximum, with one or two sailors on board.

The students of the Sailing School of the club will have their main moment on the weekend of June 22 and 23 with the Final of the Baitra MRCYB Social League . The competition will mark the closing of the 2018-2019 season courses, which are attended throughout the year by numerous children of different ages.

In July comes the first highlight of the Monte Real sports calendar: the Conde de Gondomar Trophy , which once again becomes the Spanish Height Championship. The forty-fourth edition of the regatta will be held on July 25, 26, 27 and 28.

Ten years younger, thirty-four in total, he is celebrating the Prince of Asturias Trophy , the most important regatta currently being held in Galicia and one of the most prominent on the Spanish nautical scene. It is an unmissable event for all types of sailors who find in Baiona not only the opportunity to compete at the highest level, but also to enjoy a true sailing festival, with numerous leisure activities. This year the calendar has been marked for September 6, 7 and 8 and will include, as usual, the presentation of the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards on the night of September 7.

And the last regatera appointment of Monte Real will be for the J80. The monotypes, in charge of opening the club’s calendar, will also put an end to it in the J80 Class Autumn League , scheduled for October 26, November 9, 23 and 30.

In addition to the strictly nautical competitions, the Monte Real will once again celebrate in 2019, on September 14, a new edition of the Solidarity Vertiathlon , a triathlon that the club organizes with the aim of raising funds for its Adapted Sailing School for people with disabilities. .
