The Baitra Trophy brings together the best sailors in the Cadet class at the Yacht Club

Friday, July 5, 2013.- The Bayonne Yacht Club is once again an essential setting in the development of dinghy sailing, organizing, once again, a qualifying regatta for the Cadet class, under the patronage of Baitra.

The great Galician company of naval accessories bets, jointly with the Baionese club, for the promotion of children’s sailing, citing twenty boats of the modality in the waters of the bay, navigated by 40 young promises as it is a double category , being a qualifying regatta in the community ranking.

With the collaboration of Effects Naval Jesús Betanzos, Novagalicia Banco, the Territorial Secretariat of the Cadet class and the Galician Sailing Federation, the Baitra Trophy is celebrated this weekend, with 6 scheduled sleeves spread over two days. On Saturday the tests will start at 2:30 p.m., with the Top on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The deadline for the Sunday day is set at 3:30 p.m., and the Committee cannot initiate any procedure after that time indicated in the announcement of the regatta.

Betanzos will give the participants in the Baitra Trophy, some vouchers for the purchase of nautical material.

The participating clubs are the Liceo Casino de Vilagarcía, the Club Náutico Punta Lagoa, the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, the Club Marítimo de Canido, the Club Náutico y Deportivo de Riveira, or the host itself, the Monte Real Club de Yates de Bayona. , among others.

The routes will be technical, with routes between buoys in a regatta area that may be, depending on the sea and wind conditions, anchored forming a triangle or windward-leeward.

The meteorological bonanza announces high temperatures, typical of the summer season, with a mild component that on Saturday will be from the northwest at the time of the Top of departure, and on Sunday from its opposite quadrant, that is, from the northeast shifting at mid-morning again towards the northwest. The expected average intensity is about 6-7 knots, and may increase due to the special characteristics of the Bay of Baiona, where the thermal caused by the heat could slightly increase its strength.

The Baitra Trophy is part of the plan to encourage and promote the athletes of the Monte Real Yacht Club of Bayonne, nurturing its different regatta teams from the sailing school, which has an increasing number of new pupils.
