Repsol Foundation and Juanpa Cadario, Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards for sponsor and communicator of the year

· Fundación Repsol’s support for the Adapted Sailing School of the Monte Real Yacht Club allows disabled people to practice sailing on adapted boats

· The Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will be presented next Saturday, September 5 at a gala to be held at the Monte Real Yacht Club in Bayonne

The jury for the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards has decided to award Fundación Repsol and Juan Pablo “ Juanpa ” Cadario the sponsor and communicator of the year awards in 2015.

At a gala to be held on September 5 in Baiona, the award will be given to Fundación Repsol in recognition of the organization’s work in contributing to the progress of society through different projects in the social, cultural, educational and research.

In this sense, Fundación Repsol has collaborated with the Monte Real Yacht Club to promote the sport of sailing among people with disabilities throughout Galicia, through support for the acquisition of adapted boats that guarantee that this group can enjoy sailing in equal conditions.

This contribution to achieving greater integration of people with disabilities and fostering caring and responsible attitudes within the Adapted Sailing School, are some of the aspects that were taken into account when awarding the prize in the category of best sponsor.

In the category of best communicator, the Mariano Aguado Communication Award of the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards falls on this occasion to the Argentine Juan Pablo Cadario, author of the nautical blog JuanpaNews , in which 365 days a year publishes information related to the world of sailing.

Visual Communication Designer at the National University of La Plata (Buenos Aires – Argentina), and model maker at the Modelmakers Model Shipyard, Juanpa Cadario is also a professional sailor, a condition that allows him to endow his chronicles and reports with a more professional, direct, close and credible.
