The Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will distinguish this year three of the boats that obtained the best results in the regattas held throughout the 2014-2015 season, since the award ceremony in September last year.

In the ORC 0-1 category, the award will be received by the crew of the Fifty, the boat of the Portuguese Rui Ramada who, wearing a pendant from the Monte Real Club de Yates, managed to win the victory of his class, in the 2014 editions of the Prince of Asturias Trophy, El Corte Inglés Master and the Xunta President Trophy. Throughout this 2015, the Portuguese also managed to get on the podium in the Winter Trophy, in which they obtained the championship silver; and in the Repsol Trophy, where they won gold. Their most recent victory was achieved this summer in the Mateus Rosé Trophy, the first of the three tests that make up the III Atlantic Cruise Circuit.

In the category of ORC 2-3 boats, the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will recognize on this occasion the great trajectory of Movistar, of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo. Led by Pedro Campos, his crew managed to win the Prince of Asturias Trophy, the El Corte Inglés Master and the Xunta President Trophy over the past year. In addition, last July they stood on the podium of the ORC B World Championship held in Barcelona, and in August, they achieved victory in the Copa del Rey MAPFRE 2015 in Palma.

The Solventis, owned by Alberto and Pablo Moro, is another of the boats awarded this year with a Terras Gauda National Sailing Award. It will receive the best amateur team in the ORC class after achieving, in 2014, the silver of the Prince of Asturias Trophy and El Corte Inglés Master, and becoming champion of the Spanish Cup. In this 2015 he obtained the title of ORC Corinthian World Champion at the ORC World Championship in Barcelona and won, for the fourth consecutive time, the Ribeiro Rías de Galicia Regatta, a record that no boat had achieved so far in more than 50 years. of competition history. But if there is something for which the Solventis stands out, it is for having achieved such spectacular results with a production boat, without substantial modifications, and a one hundred percent Galician and amateur crew, an aspect for which they will be distinguished.

The Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will be presented on September 5 at a gala to be held at the Monte Real Yacht Club in Bayonne.
