· 70 young promises of sailing in Galicia will compete for the victory of the trophy that is celebrated this weekend in Baiona

Baiona, May 8, 2015.- Tomorrow, Saturday, the Baitra Children’s Sailing Trophy begins in Baiona, in which some 70 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 from the main yacht clubs in the province of Pontevedra will compete.
In the championship, which will be held throughout the weekend, the young sailors, from the Optimist and Cadet classes, will have to complete several technical routes between buoys located in the bay.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the tests will begin at half past two in the afternoon, and on Sunday they will start at half past eleven in the morning. That last day, in the afternoon, the award ceremony for the winners will be held at Monte Real Club de Yates, which organizes the competition with the sponsorship of Baitra Accesorios Navales.
As a novelty this year, and on the occasion of the club’s 50th anniversary, Baitra will reward the winners of the trophy with a cast replica of the Crab Battery, the walled enclosure where the Monte Real is located.
The Real Club Náutico de Vigo, the Club Marítimo de Canido, the Club Náutico Rodeira (Cangas), the Liceo Casino de Vilagarcía, the Clube Náutico Deportivo de Riveira or the Monte Real Club de Yates will have representation in the trophy.
