The Monte Real Adapted Sailing School is recognized as an example of good practice at the Berlin International Tourism Fair

The Adapted Sailing School of the Monte Real Yacht Club has been recognized as an example of good practice at ITB Berlin , the International Tourism Fair held this March in the German capital.

The club’s initiative, which has been underway since 2012, was presented by the Baiona council for the Green Destinations 2016 Global Top 100 ” awards, which recognize the progress made in the field of sustainable tourism in Quality Coast destinations. It is about making known and sharing among the different countries, those exemplary actions that represent a model of good practices and a significant advance for the progress of society.

The Adapted Sailing School of the Monte Real Club de Yates, under its motto “Sailing for all” , has as its main objective to bring the world of sport in general, and sailing in particular, closer to people with different disabilities, both physical and psychosocial , cognitive or sensory. Since its creation in 2012, hundreds of students from groups and associations from different parts of Galicia have passed through it to navigate the bay of Baiona in the club’s adapted boats.
