The AXA Sailing Trophy is decided this weekend in Baiona

· The nautical competition organized by the Monte Real Club de Yates ends this Saturday with the last tests and the award ceremony

· The 25 sailboats entered in the trophy will compete for victory in a coastal and several windward-leeward routes in the Bay of Baiona

April Oils, Bosch Service Solutions and Burla Negra lead the ORC 1, 2 and 3 classes, Luna Nueva leads J80 and Tutatis the Figaro class

The AXA Sailing Trophy organized by the Monte Real Club de Yates with the sponsorship of AXA Seguros enters its final stretch this weekend with the celebration of the last tests of the competition. Tomorrow, Saturday, starting at two in the afternoon, the 25 sailboats entered in the trophy will meet in the waters of the bay of Baiona to compete in a coastal regatta and several windward-leeward routes that will decide the podium of the regatta.

After the first day held last week between Vigo and Baiona, leading the classification in the ORC 1, 2 and 3 classes are Aceites Abril from the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, Bosch Service Solutions from the Canido Maritime Club and Burla Negra, also of the Vigo nautical The Bosch also leads the general classification of the trophy.

In the J80 class, Juan Luis Tuero’s Luna Nueva will fight to stay in first position, something that Miguel Lago’s Virazón and Francisca Barros’ Miudo will try to avoid, second and third respectively after the initial stage of the trophy.

In the Figaro class, the Tutatis of the Monte Real Club de Yates regatta team, skippered by Carlos Hernández, leads the provisional classification. It is followed by the Bouvento by Genoveva Pereiro and the Serralleiras by Víctor Calviño.

Once the last tests of the competition are finished, the awards ceremony will be held for the winners. It will be from half past seven in the afternoon at the Monte Real Club de Yates.
