The Mi Moneda managed to win this afternoon in Baiona with a new victory in the Vitaldent J80 Trophy of the Monte Real Club de Yates, which has been held in the bay since last January. With today’s victory, the boat skippered by Guillermo “Willy” Caamaño now has four victories in the six days played so far.
The other two wins went to Miguel Lago’s Virazón, who remains second overall, ten points behind Mi Moneda. Third place goes to Luna Nueva by Juan Luis Tuero and fourth to Namasté, by Luis de Mira. In fifth and sixth position are Roberto Fontán’s Ferralemes and Iago Carballo’s Nortada.
Today, the lack of wind forced the first race to be cancelled, and after more than two hours of waiting, only one regatta could be held with about 5 knots of wind.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the seventh and last day of the Vitaldent J80 Trophy will take place. It will be from 11 in the morning in the bay of Baiona. Afterwards, the awards ceremony will be held at the facilities of the Monte Real Club de Yates.
