The Repsol Trophy will fill the Vigo and Pontevedra estuaries with sailboats on the first of May bridge

On days 1, 3 and 4, the XXXVII Spring Regatta – Repsol Trophy organized by the Monte Real Yacht Club of Bayonne is held

The sports competition will include two cross-country regattas between Baiona and Sanxenxo and various technical tests at the Cíes Islands anchorage

After the celebration, the fLast week, of the IX Winter Regatta – Generali Trophy, the Monte Real Yacht Club of Bayonne opens May with the second major competition of the 2014 season, the Spring Regatta, which this year celebrates its thirty-seventh edition with the sponsored by Repsol and the collaboration of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo and the Nauta Sanxenxo marina.

The tests will begin tomorrow, Thursday, the May Day holiday, at half past one in the afternoon, with a route between buoys at the Cíes Islands anchorage. After a break on Friday, the competition will resume over the weekend with two cross-country races.

On Saturday the 3rd, the boats will leave Baiona for Sanxenxo at two in the afternoon, and on Sunday they will do the opposite route starting at noon. At the end of both days there will be awards to the winners.

To be able to see the sleeves from the ground there are several points where the visibility will be better. In Baiona from the surroundings of the bay, in the Morrazo peninsula from Costa de la Vela and Cabo Udra, and in Sanxenxo from the Juan Carlos I marina.

After the Spring Regatta – Repsol Trophy, the Monte Real Club de Yates de Bayona has already set a new appointment in its competition calendar. It is the Baitra Trophy, a cadet class regatta that will be held on the weekend of May 10 and 11.
