The Portuguese Rui Ramada and Pedro Pinto, aboard the Fifty, won this weekend the Rafael Olmedo President Cup, organized by the Monte Real Club de Yates with the sponsorship of Don Pedro de Soutomaior.

The Portuguese sailors led the competition from the first moment, and managed to travel the 52-mile test through the Rías Baixas in just 7 hours, an impressive mark that was helped by the unbeatable weather conditions recorded during the day on Saturday.

The Fifty, overall winner, also won the Category A Two. In the Solitaire category, first place went to José María Peinó aboard the U-47, and in the J80 classification in real time, Miguel Lago and Juan Lago won gold.

The classification of the Don Pedro de Soutomaior Regatta also raised José María Peinó as the new Galician Solitary Champion, and Fernándo González and Ignacio Ecearro as Galician Two-handed Champions.

The next appointment with the regattas of the Monte Real Club de Yates de Bayonne is next weekend, with the 2.4mR Class Vitaldent Regatta Adapted Sailing Championship, in which sailors with some type of disability will compete. It will be held on June 21 and 22 in the bay of Baiona.
